E)Legal
Issue
Solved or justified?
Having permission to shoot in Huntington park
As it’s a public park we don’t think we will encounter any problems, however we make sure before hand that it is okay to shoot there
Copying ideas from other films
We will ensure beforehand that all of our ideas are original, and not direct copies from other films.
Filming people with out there permission
We have to make sure we have a signed consent form from everyone we film, to ensure they are confortable with being filmed if not they could sue us for filming them without there permission
Issue
Solved or justified?
Strong/ offensive language
Strong language may offended some people, so to get around this we are choosing not to include any offensive language as to appeal to a wider audience
How gender is portrayed
We may face the ethical issue of the male charter being portrayed to be stronger and more powerful than the female character, to get over this issue we are going to be un-stereotypical and have the male character die and the female charter be able to escape to portray being more than just the stereotypical female in a horror film.
The use of weapons
In our horror film the antagonist will be using a machete, which may be seen as controversial. To get around this we wont show any blood or the machete actually cutting anyone, we will use cut aways, this way people wont be as concerned about the use of a machete.
F) Contingency plans

Thing that could go wrong

Have one spare incase we need it
| |
Someone could not turn up
We will all be able to use the equipment and as long as the two actors turn up we can make do with 1 person on camera and lighting.

UPDATED WORK BASED ON FEEDBACK
Clearer Genre and Conventions.
What genre did you decide on and what genre conventions did you use?
We decided on the horror genre with a slasher sub genre. The conventions we had from a stereotypical horror slasher were having a masked killer, which is seen in a majority of slasher films like Halloween and Friday the 13th. The film was set in a forest near a lake, which is quite mirrored, to the setting in Friday the 13th as well as other slasher like Cabin Fever and cabin in the woods. The weapon the killer uses is a hatchet, which is a weapon of choice in many other slashers. A fair bit of fake blood was used in the filming as well, which is used in practically every slasher movie.
